I was born and grew up in Bucharest, Romania, during the Ceausescu era.
In 1999 I went to study an MBA in London, where I worked and partied equally hard. I made London my home town. Just a few months before my work permit was due to expire, I got a highly skilled migrant visa, followed by British citizenship (see photo on the right).
Celebrating Sinatra, London
Why did I take my exam to drive a yacht in such cold weather? Because I wanted the certification then and there - no point waiting until summer or having to go to a hot place far away to do it!
From Stanford University in California
...to Singapore
Liberty... or Freedom as I like to call it
Sebastian joins us in most trips. Gibraltar
Just a w.e away, Belgium
Quiet walk in West Virginia Mountains
I drove at 250 km per hour on national roads
Parashouting in Barbados
And various other things
And in a private plane
I am a lousy cook. Even cooking classes in Florence didn't lead to any progress
I have been fortunate to meet amazing people and have great mentors
And of course, my mom, who taught me to go for whatever I wanted. She gave me the confidence to believe I can do whatever I put in my mind to
Do I like this? Nope but I have to...
My greatest joy comes from my son, Sebastian, who at the age of 5 speaks fluently 3 languages and has been in 20 countries on 4 continents
Welcoming my British citizenship in 2006
...or in an unusual ice club
...and stylish
...and 58 countries
I've been in the jungle
...learning about various civilisations
My office travels with me
Shopping anyone? Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles
Love spending time with my son
Venice
Sebastian wanted to ski since he was 1 year and 9 months
But I also love nature and doing nothing
Yes that's me in the private jet
And that's me on a heli ride
But I looooove food
I am grateful to my dad, who provided everything I could have wished for when I was a kid. Most importantly, he inspired and taught me to make my own money

FREEDOM! To do what I want, when I want, with whomever I want, as I want
What I can’t stand:
• Stupidity!
• Slow motion: if you want to do something, don’t just talk about it… do it!
What you didn’t know (until now):
